Dynamic Evolving Levee Environment (DELvE) This layer complements the Delta Database layer by collating the individual levee features that contribute to a leveed area, and where present, assimilates the levee characteristics and design storm/return period data. The sources that have been used to compile this data are stored for each shape/line, however further details are also recorded in the delta index. DELvE contains data of flood defences and coastal/deltaic protection methods employed across the world into a single homogenous database of artefacts. Where possible, the information also includes data on construction date, material, height, return period, and information on the source of the individual item.
